Half sizes are a great way to stretch up while keeping your ears healthy and happy. With smaller increments, you can size up sooner without risking scarring, blowouts, or tears. In addition to keeping your stretching journey safer, you will also make it easier for your next stretch and be able to achieve even bigger sizes. Start or continue your stretching journey with this more advanced system of stretching! These single flare black half size plugs come in a pair, and come with a total of 2 silicone bands, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit. When stretching, it is best practice to wait until your ears can fit the new size without any pain or discomfort. This will keep your ears from tearing and infection, and help protect from blowouts and scarring. Wash your hands and ears with antibacterial soap, and sanitize new jewelry with alcohol. After sanitizing and drying the jewelry, you may find your ears will accept a larger size easier while in a hot bath or shower. Lubricating your ears with coconut oil, jojoba oil, or vitamin e oil will help keep them healthy and happy, and will make your stretching journey easier. We recommend waiting about 4 months between stretches, but everyone is different and you may be able to stretch more quickly, or you may have to wait longer before a safe stretch. Glass is an excellent choice for stretching as it is considered hypoallergenic and is non-porous. They come in sizes ranging from 14g – 00g (1.6mm – 10mm).
