The concept is simple. Gems are mined with minimal impact to the environment. Miners and cutters of the gemstones earn living wages and work in safe conditions. This ring features a round, bezel set natural bluish green color tourmaline measuring 3 mm in diameter and with a manufacturer’s stated weight of 0.11 carat. Columbia Gem House has branded their tourmalines of this hue and from specified locations in Africa and Afghanistan as Seafoam Tourmaline (R). This gem exhibits a medium light, grayish, bluish green color with good, eye-clean clarity and is of very good overall cut. This fair-trade gem is 100% genuine, natural, untreated, and unenhanced. The mounting has a hand-made designer look and feel in a linear, raised circles design that reflect the light and look like side diamonds at first glance. It is done in solid 14 karat white gold: style number 9830-592-1W. It is currently finger size 6.5 but is easily sizable by any competent jeweler. The ring weighs 2.2 grams and is 4.6 mm wide at the top (outside measurement of the bezel).
