A number of authors over the years have theorized that the legends of this monster may have originated from sightings of giant squid that can reach sizes of 50+ feet in length. Regardless of the origin, the mythology of the Kraken is as strong as ever, and this wonderful handmade brooch pays homage to that. This brooch or cloak pin is domed shape, and measures about 1.5 inches across. It is made of finely polished silver pewter. This is not a cheap “made in China” article of jewelry.
