1880s to 1910s Cloak or Cape Clasp This shield-like piece is typically made of Bakelite or celluloid, which were incredibly popular materials for fashion fasteners from the late 1800s. It has been converted to be worn as a pendant on a necklace. The center is made of amber colored glass. The pendant features highly detailed, repoussé or filigree metal scrollwork, a style frequently found on antique cloak and capelet clasps. Good condition with a little wear. Just a bit of patina. The glass looks like it glows. The pendant is 2.5” long by 1.75” wide If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to send me a message. Thank you!
