For your consideration is a remarkable piece of turn-of-the-century American craftsmanship. This antique 14K yellow gold stick pin was manufactured by the prestigious Newark, New Jersey firm Larter & Sons (founded 1865). The piece features a minimalist, un-grooved straight needle terminating in a sharp point, designed to slide seamlessly into cravats, ties, or lapels. It is elegant in its simplicity, boasting a small, glowing natural seed pearl mounted just below the top structure. The back of the piece is cleanly stamped with “14K” and Larter’s iconic heart-shaped hallmark. It has been meticulously preserved in its original velvet-lined presentation box, circa 1900. This stick pin measures at 2 1/4 inch, and weighs 1.15 grams.
