Genuine Alligator Strap Manufactured by Montbrillant Peaux(not affiliated with Breitling)for Genuine Breitling Buckles, Watches, and Chronographs(Genuine Breitling Buckles also available) The straps are manufactured specifically for Breitling watches and buckles using the approach of tapering from a heavily padded strap down to a thinner strap at the buckle. The colors are chosen to reflect the same colors and part of the skin used by Breitling through 2020 and still available in most Breitling brick and mortar stores. (Breitling has recently switched back to belly skins which I will be adding in the first half of 2022. The flank skins used here are the more interesting of the two pattern types.) The alligator skins are from American alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) and shipped to Switzerland from the United states after the tanning process is complete. I am required to maintain CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) records for when I import this product in order to comply with U.S. and international laws that require that I not encroach on endangered species. These alligators were raised on farms in the U.S. for the purpose of making genuine alligator products. I may occasionally offer genuine crocodile products as a substitute or in addition to the genuine alligator straps. They comply with the same set of regulations. All Montbrillant Peaux straps come packaged in a luxurious wooden gift box as befits a high quality strap. 18mm buckles are available in the 90s style (embossed logo and plain backs) and the most contemporary style with B logo and reference number on the back. 20mm buckles are available in the raised logo style still available directly from the manufacturer and the most contemporary style with B logo. Both styles have the reference number on the backs in order to help prevent counterfeiting. The reference numbers on the 18mm buckle back (not pictured) is different from the ones on the 20mm buckle, ofcourse.
