Thanks for checking out this iconic Beads of Rice watch bracelet. First design by the legendary Swiss metal watch bracelet manufacture, Gay Frères, the Beads of Rice bracelet is regarded as perhaps the most famous watch band designs in the 20th century. They produced their first ‘rice’ bracelet in the 1940’s for Patek. The design was so popular that nearly all the big Swiss brands at the time started commissioning their own takes on it. This bracelet carefully maintains the key features of those original models, namely how each bead has its own individual link. Additionally, the side links have a brushed finish while each bead is polished. The clasp here is a three-fold safety clasp and is safe as houses, yet easy and satisfying to use. To release it, just lift the tab at the top and then press in two buttons (see photos for illustration). Links can easily be removed from the bracelet. There are four removeable sections on each side of the clasp (eight total) and these are marked with a handy arrow showing which direction the pin must be pushed. It’s very easy to do with a basic pin pusher (again, see photos for illustration). Overall, this is an extremely well-machined piece of kit and I’m really proud to be listing it. Each order comes with a pair of correctly sized (length and diameter) spring bars and a doubled-ended steel spring bar tool.
