Garnet is not really a kind of gemstone, but rather a family of related gem species. Tsavorite is one of the rarer and more expensive varieties of garnet that occurs in green colors. These particular gemstones resemble fine, bright emeralds. They are medium, moderately strong green in color, and are of good overall cut.
