1940’s Recta Mens Military Watch ***Watch Runs and Stops, will need to be serviced. ***Minute Hand is Missing Lum ***No Band *** Crown is a little smooth ***Missing one plate screw by ratchet wheel *** No DH by serial Case 33.3mm Case Width (without crown) 41.5 Case Length (lug tip to tip) Screw Down Stainless Case Back Machine Engraved inside the case back: “Acier Inoxydable Restless Steel Back Stahlboden Rostfrei 971” Hand engraved inside the case back: “Helbros Watch Co Swiss” Outside of Caseback is Machine Engraved “581824” Case is in Good shape for the year, back screws tight, crown is a little smooth. Movement Machine Engraved “RECTA” Hand engraved (for import) “Helbros Watch Co 15 Jewels Swiss UnAdjusted” Movement is in good shape, very dirty though. She tries to run, but is in dire need of Cleaning and Oiling. Escapement & Train all look good, keyless functions well. ***Missing one plate screw by the ratchet wheel, next to the click. Dial & Hands Beautiful Patina, Extremely Well Aged Dial. Attractive, Distictive, and best of all Original All Numerals and Index Marks are present All 11 LUM marks are present, but long since have lost any glow See the pictures. Hands are all original, Minute hand is missing its Lum, This is a non issued German Military Recta Watch, (no DH). That was acquired in surplus post war by Helbros, that added the required import markings to bring into the USA. Most attractive dial I have seen on one, alluring patina in leopard pattern.
