This limited Japan-edition Timex Ironman celebrates the heritage of the original 1986 Ironman Triathlon which became an iconic sports watch known for its engineering and design.Developed by former General Motors car designer John T.Houlihan in collaboration with legendary athletes like Alberto Salazar and Mary Decker Slaney the watch featured a distinctive D-shape design with top-mounted buttons.The colorway of this edition pays homage to the original 1986 model which was painted with Dupont automobile paint inspired by a BMW parked at the Timex office in Cupertino.This updated release pairs that historic color aesthetic with a negative display a feature never previously used in the original 8-Lap series.
