***********The movement received a complete overhaul in May 2018. Although no paperwork will be provided my watchmaker's service marking is etched on the inside of the case back.*********** This seldom seen vintage 1970's Aquadive came from the estate of its original owner. The orange accented matte black "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows light age-related wear. The lume on the hands, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a golden brown sugar hue. The lume on the dial, which has developed a warm buttermilk patina, emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light. The black bezel, which shows wear and ratchets smoothly counterclockwise, presents nicely. The massive all stainless steel Monnin case shows honest wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "ALL STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE WATERRESISTANT ANTICHOC" with "1414" followed by "10908" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "NAC SALES INC" followed by "SWISS,""BREVET +,""503.305" and "M.R.P. S.A.." The original crystal shows light scratching and a stress crack from approximately the 15 to the 22 mark. In person the crystal looks good cosmetically with the stress crack being nearly visually imperceptible under close scrutiny. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "NAC Sales Inc." stamped ETA 2879 automatic movement with quickset day and date is clean, keeps accurate time and both the day and date wheels roll over at 12 am. The movement received a complete overhaul in May 2018. Although no service paperwork will be provided my watchmaker's service marking is etched on the inside of the case back. The quickset day and date functions work flawlessly by unscrewing the screwdown crown, pulling it out to the first position and then turning it counterclockwise to adjust the day and clockwise to adjust the date. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the movement had a solid power reserve of approximately 53 hours. The crown unscrews and screws back down without issue and winds smoothly. This watch measures approximately 41 mm excluding the crown, approximately 45.5 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 12 mm. Although the movement keeps accurate time and works as it should there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 12 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided. Thanks for looking! ***********The movement received a complete overhaul in May 2018.
