This listing is for a genuine WW2 1/2" wide 2-piece US Military issued strap in olive drab canvas. These straps were sometimes used on early WW1 era watches that required a very narrow strap. This strap has been used for compasses or other military devices. These bands are 7 inches long, but you need to add the length of your watch to get the total length to compare with your wrist size. This band is not appropriate for most American WW2 watches as they require at least 9/16-in or 5/8-in wide straps. These American Strap Company bands were shipped in wooden boxes lined in "tar" paper covering to keep out moisture. Boxes marked: Transportation Officer, Jersey City Quartermaster Dept, Warehouse B, for Commanding Officer,American Strap Co, New York City, water repellent poplin, packed April 1, 1945.
