There is no guarantee on jewelry changing colors! How fast it tarnishes depends on many factors and how well you take care of it. If you sweat a lot in it and take showers in it, it will tarnish a lot faster. If you wipe it down after each use with a cloth and keep it in a ziplock bag when not wearing it, it will last longer.
